Ten Reasons Why + Giveaway

1.    I dare you to find a box of gluten free pasta that costs less than a  zucchini.
2.    It’s Amazon Prime eligible. Hello, free 2-day shipping.
3.    A spiralizer (the alternative to a julienne peeler) looks like a torture device straight out of a Saw movie. Google it, you'll see.
4.    It’s SO FUN to use. Seriously, no vegetable in your kitchen will be safe.
5.    It fits oh so perfectly in a stocking (hint hint).
6.    DISHWASHER. SAFE.
7.   It sells for $16.99 on other websites. Which means other people are  (foolishly) dropping that much dough on a vegetable peeler. Which means it’s totally worth the $7.83 on Amazon.
8.    “Ergonomic handle fits comfortably in your palm to lessen hand fatigue.” (Okay – completely plagiarized that from the Zyliss website. But it is really comfortable to hold…)
9.    Do you know how much easier vegetables are to eat when they’re in noodle-form? Way way way easier.
10.  Cause I said so. And I’m feelin’ a little bossy today.

  2. Coleslaw for my thai salad! Which I haven't made in awhile...hmm...now I want it.

  3. Veggies to go with my homemade pho stock and rice noodles. Yum! With that thinness, they wouldn't need to be boiled, just soaked with the noodles!

  4. I would make potato bird nests, deep fry them and fill them with a soft boiled egg and some salsa!

  5. Oh my goodness.... I would make the zucchini pasta.. what a delicious sounding idea!! I'd probably use it to shred some veggies for a hearty meat/gluten-free lasagna. Carrots, leeks and LOTS of cheese!

  7. More than likely I would use this to make lovely shredded carrots for salad, as well as thin crispy baked french fries. I'm super intrigued by the pasta idea, though!

  8. My mother has a peeler just like that! I would use it to make a childhood favourite of mine - cold soba noodles with julienned cucumber, carrots, thinly sliced egg, and dried seaweed flakes. With Japanese soy sauce and sesame oil drizzle over it, it makes a refreshing meal in the summer. But I've been eating it warm for the winter months and it tastes just as great! Makes me wish I was home again.

  15. I would use it to shred up some heirloom potatoes and make a hash with some sausage, peppers, onions and melted swiss. Fry up some eggs and use it again to shred some pears and apples into some warm cinnamon oatmeal

  17. Oohhh I need me one of these! The first thing I would make is a fresh noodle salad - take carrots, cucumbers, beetroot and whatever else takes your fancy then slice them up with the julienne peeler and then add them to a little bit of thin rice noodless - toss through baby spinach leaves and some teriyaki grilled chicken. Yum!
