Gluten Free Allergen Free Expo Recap: FOOD COMA IS REAL.

I'm fairly certain the only things you need to see to grasp the Gluten Free Allergen Free Expo are these before and after shots.

Before: OMG SO MUCH FOOD AND I NEED TO HOOVER IT ALL AND LOOK AT ALL THESE CELIAC WEIRDOS AND THERE'S STICKERS!!!

After: eerrrmmm just swallowed 19 mini cupcakes and 12 chunks of bread and 4 corn-dogs and 2.5 meatballs and 1 egg roll and probably a handful of other carby things. before 11 AM. without chewing. also, my feet hurt. what are vegetables.

PS. That frisbee whizzes through the air like nobody's business. Made for a nice recreational break from the gorging. I think I burned off 4 of those lentil crackers, at least.

Okay so let's rewind a bit and I'll fill you in on all the gluten free goodness that got me from point A (hungry but overambitious) to point B (dead). These were my favorites, in no particular order:

I'll be doing some full posts on some of these and other great products from the Expo in the next few weeks. Keep an eye out.

If you happened to see my Instagram the weekend of the Expo, you know that there was no shortage of gluten free beer. Which should be the case at every expo (and life event), in my opinion...

(New Planet Beer: always a favorite. Tried their blonde ale for the first time which hellooooo is great.)

(Glutenberg Beer: Like I said, CANS.)
This was also before 11 AM. Which helped with the whole waking up before 6 thing.

So food, check. Beer, check. Being in a room with SO MANY PEOPLE who also can't eat gluten?? Definitely check. More pictures and info on the 2014 GFAF Expo circuit after the jump!

(Chef Tryg from Feel Good Foods: He and his wife Vanessa opened Friedman's Lunch way back when, but sold it in order to work fully on Feel Good Foods. Huge fan of both Friedman's and FGF. Fun fact - Vanessa's parents own Lilli & Loo!)
(Gaggle of gluten free girls: exactly what it sounds like. Such an awesome run-in. If you're local, check out the Brooklyn Gluten Free Meetup group - Emily hosts a ton of super sweet events!)
(And the two coolest GF humans in all the land: Silvana and Amie. Could've camped out with you two at the Crunchmaster booth alllll day.)
Aaaand there you have it. At this point I'm totally sick of seeing my own face.

BUT I am so psyched for the next GFAF Expo. All the 2013/2014 dates/locations are posted on their website. Start fasting now..... Anyone up for city-hopping to all of 'em?
